Property owners can apply for a reduction or rebate of assessment rates.
Owner / rate payer only
Property owners can apply for a reduction or rebate of assessment rates if :
 

1. Property/building is unoccupied and unused for a period of not less than 3 consecutive months with condition:
  • The building is not undergoing repair works, remains unoccupied and unused
  • The building is in good condition and fit for occupation;
  • The owner has make reasonable effort to obtain a tenant;
  • The rental demanded is a reasonable; and
  • The building has been vacant during the whole period for which the rebate is claimed.
2. Property/building is undergoing alteration or repair and unoccupied for a period of not less than 3 consecutive months with condition:
  • The alteration or repair works is approved by the Council Building Division
  • Claim of rebate must be made within 15 days after the alteration or repair works is certified as completed by the Council Building Division
  • Claim must state the commencement and completion date of the alteration / repair works, proved by Form C and Form F as submitted to Council Building Section

1. Photograph of premise with “For Rent” banner**
2. Letter of estate agent engage to rent the premise**
3. Photograph of rental advertisement in newspaper/any other media (example: mudah.my)**
4. Photograph of building under renovation**
5. Manual sign form (Mandatory if not verify by MyKad only)
